Master's Program in Curriculum and Instruction

The contemporary teaching approach requires the teacher to develop a series of skills and curricula (critical thinking, learning strategies, etc.) in parallel with the curricula and to integrate them with the curriculum. Curriculums prepared today provide general criteria for teachers' in-class practices. Therefore, teachers need to have more profound skills in understanding programs and adapting them to their classrooms. In addition to increasing teachers' competencies in teaching, they should also be trained in curriculum development. In this program, in addition to the basic courses that will help teachers develop their own curriculum, rich content is also offered which will be in line with teachers’ educational needs. This content includes the application of modern teaching method techniques, measurement and evaluation, classroom management, and lesson management techniques.

MASTER'S PROGRAM IN CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION (WITH THESIS)

Application Requirements:

1. Graduation from four-year Turkish universities or foreign universities approved by the Council of Higher Education.

2. Within the last 5 years, candidates applying to the Master's Program with Thesis must have obtained at least 55 points from ALES, and foreign applicants must have obtained at least 610 points from GRE Quantitative or 450 points from GMAT.

3. Language Certificate: Candidates applying must have obtained at least 55 points from the relevant exams within the last 5 years. Accepted exam scores are: "Higher Education Institutions Foreign Language (YÖKDİL) Exam" and the "Foreign Language Knowledge Level Determination Exam (YDS)" conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).

***If there is no language certificate, it is necessary to have at least 55 points from the English Proficiency Exam to be held by Yeditepe University on the dates to be announced.

***The language of instruction of the Master's Degree Programs with Thesis is English.

For Admission to the Program;

1. The online application should be made from http://ebs.yeditepe.edu.tr/ web address. Click here for the EBS user manual.
2. After all, the information is filled in on the website and the required documents are uploaded completely, the relevant documents will be forwarded to the Admission Commission. 
3. After you see the message "Submitted to the Admission Commission", you must attend the oral interview at the specified time and place which is going to be announced on the website. 
4. After the results are announced, you should take your necessary documents from your institute and go to Student Affairs and Financial Affairs when you see the inscription "Application Approved". (Institute of Educational Sciences has moved to the Commercial Sciences Building)

Documents Required for Final Registration;

• Original and Photocopy of Undergraduate Diploma
• Original and Photocopy of Undergraduate Transcript
• YDS / YÖKDİL Certificate with at least 55 points
• ALES (EA) document with at least 55 points 
• For Turkish Citizen students who have studied abroad, Diploma Equivalency Certificate is to be obtained from YÖK.
• Original Military Status Certificate (Original and Photocopy of Demobilization Certificate for those who have done their military service)
• Original and Photocopy of Identity Card
• Certificate of Residence
• 4 Passport Size Photograph
• Letter of Intent in English, including the reasons why the candidate has chosen the relevant department
• Reference Letter
