Course Objectives: 
The main purpose of this course is to gain statistical literacy. In addition, by using the basic concepts of descriptive statistics, basic descriptive analyzes will be carried out with statistical data in the field of social sciences and package programs in the computer environment.
Course Content: 

Defining descriptive statistics and understanding its importance

Examination of scales (measurement types) and frequency distributions

Defining measures of central tendency

Definition of measures of central distribution

Making basic statistical calculations and interpreting the results with the help of a computer program (SPSS)

Creating and interpreting graphics in a computer program (SPSS)
